Minoxidil at 7% increases blood flow to follicles and extends the growth phase so more hairs are growing at any time; the higher concentration is prescribed for a stronger once-daily dose. Tretinoin improves how well minoxidil reaches the follicle. Fluocinolone, a mild corticosteroid, settles the inflammation and irritation that can accompany thinning and higher-strength minoxidil. Biotin supports keratin production, and topical melatonin has been studied for a protective effect on the growth cycle.
Because it contains no finasteride, there is no DHT-blocking component and no pregnancy acknowledgment is required, though it still should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Topical minoxidil 2% and 5% are FDA-approved; this 7% combination is compounded and not FDA-approved.
Apply 1 mL (the prescribed number of sprays) once daily to dry scalp where hair is thinning, spread gently, then wash your hands. Let it dry before styling or lying down. One 60 mL bottle lasts 60 days. Plan on three to six months of daily use before judging results, and continue to maintain them.
Sensitive Spray is for women of any age with pattern thinning or a widening part, people experiencing shedding after rapid weight loss, men who want to avoid finasteride, and anyone whose scalp reacted to other minoxidil products. It can be used alone or alongside an oral treatment prescribed by your provider.
It is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Scarring alopecia, alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia and hair loss from an active scalp infection need in-person evaluation; if your photos or history suggest one of these, you won't be charged.
Month 1. Daily use begins. The fluocinolone helps keep irritation down while your scalp adjusts; visible hair change takes longer.
Month 2. Minoxidil may push resting hairs out to make room for new growth, so shedding can briefly increase. It's temporary and normal.
Months 3–4. Shedding slows and fine new hairs appear along the part or hairline. Many women notice a fuller feel at the crown.
Months 6–12. Visible density improvement for most by six months, continuing through the first year with daily use. Results depend on continued use.

Sensitive Spray is our finasteride-free formula. Minoxidil 7% drives growth, tretinoin helps it absorb, fluocinolone (a mild corticosteroid) calms scalp inflammation and irritation, and biotin and melatonin are included for their supporting roles in the hair-growth cycle. Because it contains no finasteride, it's appropriate for women of any age as well as men.
Women of any age with pattern thinning or shedding after weight loss, men who want to avoid finasteride, and anyone whose scalp reacted to other minoxidil products. It is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and hair loss from scarring conditions, alopecia areata or scalp infection needs in-person care.
Topical minoxidil 2% and 5% are the FDA-approved over-the-counter strengths. The 7% concentration here is compounded and prescribed for people who want a stronger daily dose in a single application; higher concentrations may increase the chance of scalp irritation or unwanted facial hair, so your provider will check in on how you tolerate it.
Most people notice less shedding by month three and early regrowth between months three and six, with continued thickening through the first year of consistent daily use. Six months is the first fair checkpoint, and photos taken in the same light every month are the best way to track progress. Results depend on continued use: if you stop, hair loss gradually returns.
It can. Minoxidil pushes resting hairs out to make room for new growth, so shedding may briefly increase around weeks two to eight. It's temporary and a normal sign the treatment is working. Contact your provider if shedding is severe or continues past month three.
No labs are required. You complete an online assessment, upload a photo ID and a few scalp photos, and a licensed U.S. provider reviews everything. Follow-ups are included, and your provider can switch you to a different formula if your scalp doesn't tolerate the first one.
Oral options (Core Tab, Daily Strip) are a once-daily tablet or strip and act throughout the body. Topical sprays are applied to the scalp, which limits how much medication enters the bloodstream, a common reason people choose them, but they require a daily application routine and can irritate sensitive skin. Many patients combine an oral and a topical; your provider will recommend a plan that matches your pattern of loss.
Hair thinning was reported in the Wegovy® trials (about 3% vs 1% on placebo) and the Zepbound® trials (4–5% vs 1%), more often in women. It's generally linked to rapid weight loss rather than the drug itself, usually starts a few months into treatment and often improves as weight stabilizes. Minoxidil-based treatments can speed recovery, and a finasteride-free spray is appropriate for women of any age.
Scarring alopecia, alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia and hair loss from an active scalp infection need in-person evaluation. If your photos or history suggest one of these, your provider will tell you, point you to the right kind of care, and you won't be charged.
Part dry or towel-dried hair and apply the prescribed number of sprays directly to the thinning areas of the scalp, spreading it gently with a fingertip. Wash your hands afterward, and let it dry completely before styling or lying down. One 30 mL bottle is a 30-day supply at the standard once-daily dose; a 60 mL bottle lasts 60 days.
If a GobyMeds provider decides a prescription isn't appropriate for you, you receive a 100% refund of the medication price (lab fees, where they apply, are not refunded). Once your order has been sent to our medical partners or to the pharmacy for fulfillment we will do our best to accommodate changes or cancellations, but we can't guarantee them, and in some cases an adjustment or cancellation carries a $50 medical consultation fee.
Because of regulations covering prescription medication, we are unable to accept returned medication for a refund.
No insurance is needed and GobyMeds does not bill insurance. The price you see is the price you pay, with provider consultation and shipping included and no membership fee.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted at checkout, and we can provide a letter of medical necessity if your plan administrator asks for one.
You answer a short health questionnaire and upload a photo ID. A licensed U.S. provider reviews your history, confirms the treatment is appropriate, and writes the prescription. There is no video call to schedule unless your provider or your state requires one, and follow-up messaging with your care team is included with every plan.
If you're not a candidate, you'll be told why and refunded in full.
Finasteride-free: minoxidil 7%, tretinoin, fluocinolone, biotin, and melatonin topical spray (60 mL), for women of all ages and men.
Start your online visitMinoxidil may cause scalp irritation, itching, dryness, temporary increased shedding in the first weeks, unwanted facial or body hair and, rarely, changes in blood pressure or heart rate; the 7% concentration can increase these effects compared with 5%. Tretinoin can cause dryness or redness and increases sun sensitivity. Fluocinolone is a mild steroid; prolonged use on the same area can thin skin, so follow the prescribed amount. Melatonin and biotin are generally well tolerated topically.
Do not use Sensitive Spray if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding, or if you've reacted to minoxidil, tretinoin or corticosteroids. Do not apply to broken, infected or sunburned skin. Tell your provider about heart disease, low blood pressure or if you use other steroid products.
